ClockX does not have an automatic updater. To update, download the latest installer and run it over your existing installation. Your settings, alarms and skin choices are preserved.
The process takes about a minute and preserves all your settings.
Right-click the ClockX clock → About. The version number is displayed. The latest version as of this writing is 1.6.0. Compare with the latest available at clocx.net/whatsnew.php.
Go to the Download page and get the latest ClocX160_x64.exe installer. Or download directly from clocx.net/download.php.
Right-click the clock → Exit. This ensures no files are locked during the update.
Double-click the downloaded ClocX160_x64.exe. When the installer asks for the installation folder, leave it as the default (C:\Program Files\ClocX) — this replaces the existing files in place. Your settings registry key is untouched.
After installation completes, ClockX launches automatically with your previous skin, position, alarms and transparency settings intact. Verify the version in About to confirm the update succeeded.
HKCU\Software\ClocX. The installer only updates program files — it does not touch your settings. Your alarms, skin choice, position and transparency settings will all be exactly as before after the update.Related guides
