World clock guide

ClockX world clock — multiple timezones on your desktop

ClockX can show multiple time zones simultaneously as floating clocks on your Windows desktop. Essential for remote teams, developers and anyone scheduling across continents.

How to set up world clock in ClockX

Each ClockX instance can be assigned a different timezone. Run multiple instances for a full world clock display.

Enable auto-start with Windows for each instance so your world clocks appear automatically on every boot.

World clock use cases

Remote & distributed teams

See teammate timezones at a glance — always visible on your desktop without opening any app. Never calculate "what time is it for them?" again.

International developers

Keep US East, EU and Asia-Pacific times visible simultaneously. Better coordinate deployments, on-call rotations and cross-timezone code reviews.

Cross-border families

Always know the right time to call family abroad. Stop guessing if it is a reasonable hour before picking up the phone.

Trading & finance

Track NYSE, LSE and Tokyo market hours simultaneously. Configure clocks for New York, London and Tokyo with clear labels.

Travel planning

Set a clock to your destination timezone weeks before departure. Instantly schedule calls with hotels and operators at the right local time.

Meeting scheduling

Before booking, glance at all participant timezones on your desktop. See instantly if 3pm your time works for everyone — no converter needed.

World clock questions

How many timezones can I show at once?
As many as you want — each ClockX instance shows one timezone. Run as many instances as your desktop space allows. In practice, 3–4 is comfortable for most setups.
Does ClockX handle daylight saving time automatically?
Yes. ClockX uses the Windows timezone database which automatically handles all DST transitions worldwide. No manual adjustment needed.
Can I label each clock with a city name?
Yes. Options → General → set a title for each instance. Name each one with the city (e.g. "New York", "London", "Tokyo") so you can identify them instantly.
Will all world clock instances start with Windows?
Yes, if you enable auto-start for each instance separately. Right-click each clock → Options → General → Auto-load with Windows. See the startup guide.
