Everything the built-in Windows clock lacks

The taskbar clock tells you the time. ClockX gives you an always-visible desktop clock with tools that actually help you manage your day.

01

Always on your desktop

Unlike the taskbar clock, ClockX floats on your desktop — visible in any app, any window, any workflow. Pin it, make it click-through, set transparency.

02

Truly lightweight

Written in C++ for minimal resource usage. ClockX starts in milliseconds and uses less RAM than a browser tab. No Electron, no web runtime, no bloat.

03

Alarm system built in

Set alarms that can play a sound, show a window, launch an app or even shut down your PC. Recurring schedules work with no extra software needed.

04

Multi-timezone support

Display several world clocks for different cities at once. Essential for remote workers, developers and anyone managing international schedules. See the full world clock guide.

05

Runs at startup

Configure ClockX to launch automatically with Windows — for your user account or all users on the machine. No tray icons, no annoying pop-ups. More in the startup guide.

06

100% free, forever

No trial, no subscription, no "Pro" tier. ClockX has been free since 2007. The developer asks only that you consider disabling your ad blocker on the official site.

ClockX vs the built-in Windows Clock

The Windows Clock app is fine for quick time checks. ClockX is for people who want a clock that actually lives on their desktop. See the full feature comparison →
